Cezanne's Still Life for Kids

We all agreed that oil pastels would do the job. I set up a still life with some fruits and veg, and this is what they made:









Monet's Waterlillies for Kids

Watercolors and lots of imagination and we were making our own version of Waterlillies.








Japanese Prints- Hosukai for Kids

We looked at Katsushika Hosukai's Great Wave print, then using colored pencil, made our own picture of a great wave with some other fun details.

Dutch Flower Paintings: Renaissance Continued!

First, we painted the background in black and blue tempera paint on canvas.




Then we added flowers the following week!













I will paint a final layer of medium gloss varnish when these are dry, and the artists will be able to frame their Dutch Renaissance-inspired masterpieces in their homes!!

Using watercolor and oil pastel, students created their own folk art animals.
